Our Health & Fitness consulting service, and training and nutrition advice is designed to educate and empower clients to be self-sufficient and independent in governing their own health. The theoretical basis of nutrition and exercise are taught, along with strategies to make healthy living habitual. Practical solutions for finding the best exercising options for clients, and developing strategies to incorporate these into their lives is also tackled.
As all clients will present with differing levels of knowledge and experience, consultations will focus on advancing knowledge, and developing practical skills to make healthy living easy.
For athletes and teams, guidance in specific areas can be offered. As with all Bodyology services, we are flexible to mould our consultations to the individual nature of clients’ needs.
We do not prescribe to restrictive diets or excluding particular foods or food types. Rather we explain the concepts of Energy Balance, and devise through “Gold Standard” measurement techniques, your individual calorie requirements and weight loss / gain zones. Further consultations will allow us to then explain the energy value of food and teach you how to manage and analyse meals for their energy value, and nutritional content. We guide you towards healthy eating habits and well balanced nutrition.
Similarly, no one exercise solution is right for every person. We work with clients to devise what is going to be the most effective, enjoyable, affordable and most beneficial exercise options for them as individuals, and figure out how to incorporate those into their lives.
Be assured that in order to reach any health and fitness goals, change is required. We make no promises that it will be easy to make all the changes we suggest, but we do promise to help you along the way. We will tell you what you need to do to achieve your goals. We will educate and inform you as to why we prescribe what we do. But we do expect that you will listen to us and act on our advice. However, we welcome feedback, and we can be flexible in devising different solutions if past suggestions become difficult to manage.
With Exercise and Nutrition there are always options and tradeoffs. If you don’t have a lot of time to exercise, you just have to increase the intensity. If you don’t have time to prepare healthy meals ahead of time, there are always quick, easy healthy alternatives available. Proper feedback in order to devise new plans is fine, endless excuses are not.
